Overview
Paste Switch is a macOS clipboard switcher for recent text and image clips. The app is designed to watch local clipboard changes, keep a short recent history, and send paste or undo keyboard events into the focused app when you trigger the shortcut.

Information Paste Switch processes
Clipboard and local app information
Paste Switch may read non-empty text and PNG or TIFF image clipboard entries so it can keep a short local history for switching. It may store local preferences such as shortcut, theme, permission status, trial state, and update state on your Mac.
Accessibility permission
Paste Switch uses macOS Accessibility permission to send native paste and undo keyboard events into the focused app. This permission is required for the switching workflow.
Website and analytics information
The website may collect basic page-view, download, and checkout-click events through PostHog. These events do not include clipboard content. PostHog may process request metadata such as IP address, user agent, approximate location, and request URL according to its policies.
Payment information
If you buy Paste Switch, Creem processes the checkout and sends the license key to the email address you provide. Paste Switch may send a license key, device identifier, plan type, and activation status to Paste Switch's license API to activate or validate access. Paste Switch does not receive or store your full card details.
Hosting information
Cloudflare may process request metadata such as IP address, user agent, and request URL to host the website and any lightweight APIs.
How information is used
- To provide clipboard switching, shortcut handling, and the menu bar control panel.
- To remember local app preferences and permission state.
- To understand website downloads and checkout interest at an aggregate level.
- To respond to support, privacy, or product questions.
- To activate, validate, and protect trial, license, invite, and update flows.
Third-party services
Paste Switch uses third-party providers only where needed to operate the product and website:
- Cloudflare Pages, Functions, and KV for website hosting, API hosting, and lightweight product records.
- PostHog for website analytics and product event measurement.
- Creem for checkout, taxes, license delivery, and payment-related emails.
Retention and choices
Local in-memory clipboard history clears when Paste Switch quits. Local preferences remain on your Mac until you remove app data or uninstall the app. License, trial, and invite records may be retained while needed to provide access, prevent abuse, handle billing issues, and comply with operational or legal requirements. Support messages remain in the mail system used to handle your request. You can limit website analytics with browser settings or content blockers. Children
Paste Switch is not directed to children under 13 and should not be used by children without appropriate consent.
